After my belated annual birthday trip in Sept I didnt want to wait a whole year to visit this wonderful restaurant. I brought my brother n law who needed and appreciated the handicap ramp.. The restaurant is decorated with PA Dutch items as hex signs, paintings, tins etc.. It has a very comfortable and inviting feel to it. Our hostess , drink girl and waitress couldnt have been nicer and really make this unique experience even better. I had the Dutch Fries and a Reading Draft Root Beer to start.. This delicious appetizer set the tone for a fantastic main course. I got a combo meal with Scrapple and Fresh Sausage with pepper cabbage and chow chow as my sides. All 4 items were delicious.. The Scrapple is the best and I have to get it every visit. I ended up with an amazing slice of warmed Shoo Fly Pie. Ive been to dozens of PA Dutch restaurants and this pie tops them all. My brother n law raved about his Reuben sandwich and Sweet Potato waffle fries. He enjoyed his cherry cheesecake. As our sweet waitress brought us the bill we laughed as our plates were totally cleaned off and he said to me when our we coming back? The Deitsch Eck is much more than a great restaurant with great food and warm friendly service, It is an experience and a reminder of a much simpler time.. Upon leaving our hostess wished us a safe trip home and I told her although its about a 2 hour trip it was so well worth it! Although I go for the PA Dutch style dishes their regular fare is also great and the menu has something for everyone. After another great experience I will be visiting several times a year

Called for a reservation at 4:00pm for a 6:30 table for two on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and they said no problem. They were very busy when we arrived 15 minutes early but cheerfully seated us instantly. Nothing fancy about the food just good solid old fashioned Pa Dutch. Peach pie a la mode for dessert. Family business that takes care of their business. Friendly, cheerful and welcoming. We’ll be visiting at least once a year in the future.

Walking in was an instant hit of atmosphere and a place where home made Pennsylvania Dutch cooking is the “main thrust” of this quaint, but busy restaurant! I had the best scrapple ever with the potato filling with shoe fly pie as a take home dessert, since the meal was so filling. This is a restaurant that is not afraid to feed you and feed you well with “wonderful good” food. We will be going back!

Bravo! We celebrated our sisters bday. The food was fantastic. The owner made her a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. Top notch. He was also in the kitchen cooking alone for the restaurant. On point! Our server and the hostess were super friendly. Thank you for an awesome night.
